Emily & Yvonne Selke Memorial Fund

Benefiting Westphal students with a desire to study or coop abroad.

On March 24, 2015, Germanwings Flight 9525 tragically crashed in the French Alps. There were no survivors. Aboard the flight was Drexel’s Music Industry Program Alum, Emily Selke, and her mother, Yvonne.

Emily’s passions in life were live music and traveling. She not only dreamed of starting a music festival, but actively worked toward making that dream a reality. In her senior year at Drexel, Emily was fortunate enough to spend the summer in Europe, working at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and also learning about festival management in Barcelona.
Our goal is to fulfill Emily’s dream, as well as help others to follow their dreams. We are creating the Emily & Yvonne Selke Memorial Fund to help Westphal students offset the costs of studying or co-oping abroad, to provide a stipend for unpaid co-ops, or to fund fundraising activities for any of these purposes.
